Empowering Education: Navigating the New School Year with Our Calgary Tutors

Welcome back to school, Calgary students! As the new school year embarks, it is important to set yourself up for academic success. We know that navigating a new semester can feel overwhelming, with adjusting to new classes, subjects, and schools, but Heidi the Tutor is here to help you on this journey. Whether you are looking to improve an overall GPA score as you work towards applying into a post-secondary school, or you want to fill-in the knowledge gaps from the Covid-era, we want to help you achieve your educational goals. 

 As a Calgary based tutoring service, we are familiar with the Alberta provincial curriculum as well as the Calgary Board of Education curriculum (CBE), and we use these curriculums in all our sessions. Our friendly team of tutors have been carefully selected for their communication and interpersonal skills, on top of their very strong educational backgrounds. Our tutors all have master’s or bachelor’s degrees within their respective fields and use this wealth of experience during their tutoring sessions.  

 We tutor a range of subjects from grades 3 to 12, including Mathematics, Sciences, English and English Language Arts (ELA), and Social Studies. We work one-on-one with our students privately, both in-person and online, to form good working relationships. We recognize that there are many different learning styles, therefore, we focus on hand tailoring sessions to accommodate the individual student’s needs. However, we also offer semi-private sessions, with a maximum of 4 students per tutor, to ensure that everyone is granted the opportunity to learn and improve.  

 Whether you want help with homework assignments, reviewing materials, exam preparation, or learning ahead of the class, we have the resources to assist you in your aims. Grade 6 and 9 students will be taking their Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) while grade 12 students will be undertaking their diploma exams in June, so being proactive and staying on top of your classes will help you in your educational goals.
